This archives building, designed for downtown South Bend, Indiana, is ruled by the doric order. It is organized around a double height reading room, with stacks on either side on the ground floor and a grand skylight overhead. The second floor includes additional stacks as well as administrative spaces and a featured gallery. The double story windows lend a civic quality to the exterior along with the traditional temple portico front façade.
