Truss System

This first design project is an open air pavilion set on Notre Dame's campus. Facing out toward one of the two lakes on Notre Dame's campus, the design follows a Greek temple form and is ruled by the tuscan order. The pavilion is placed and a path is added to connect the nearby chapel, which is currently used as for baptisms, small weddings, etc., so the pavilion can be used as a reception space (which an indoor portion for food/banquets). The most notable feature of the pavilion is the custom designed, wooden trusses.
