Housing Types Analysis

To begin the spring semester second year, a comparative analysis of a French hotel, an Italian Palazzo, and an English townhouse was done. Overall massing, plan organization, room hierarchy, facade composition, and detail designs are examined. Special attention is given to identifying the parti of each housing type. Over the course of the following semester, a palazzo-style museum and a townhouse are designed, pulling on the understanding developed in this analytical project.
